Matrix Design Group, LLC (Matrix) announced today a partnership
agreement with Brentwood Electronics T/A Monitech (Monitech) for
distribution and integration of the Matrix product line, including
proximity detection systems, to mines and other industrial operations in
Africa. The partnership’s initial venture has delivered full section,
leading-edge proximity detection solutions to Sasol Mining for some of
its underground operations.

proximity detection system is a state-of-the-art machine-integrated
system that will automatically warn personnel if they are in close
proximity to mobile machinery or entering an unsafe working area. The

the ability to slow down or stop the machine should personnel or other
secondary machinery move into Warning or Shutdown (Red) Zones designated
around the machine. The system is intended to enhance miners’ awareness
of potentially dangerous areas around working machinery and instill safe
operating practices.
